Who Inspires Me

I had to write an essay about the person who inspires me, for my English class. We had to describe the person in graphic detail from their physical appearance to their personality. I passed it in to my teacher, she read it and said that is was possiably the best writing she had ever read by an 8th grader in her whole teaching career. I was surprised, seen as I had kinda rushed through it. So, here it is. Tell me what you think about it. I did it on my step-cousin, Marci.

Who Inspires Me By Stephanie Canavan

The person who inspires me is my cousin, Marci. She's my true best friend and no matter what, I know she'll always be there for me. Marci has helped me through some tough times in my life and she's the one who completely understands me when no one else does.

Marci is beautiful. She is skinny and tall. Her eyes are green, caring and optimistic. She always sees the brightside of the situation. Marci's hair is curly, brown and it's long when she straightens it. I'm envious of Marci sometimes, because she's always tan. Even in the winter! She has a sensitive face, but it can be tough at times. I think Marci could pass off for 17, even though she is only 14. Her thoughts alone are those of a 20 year old.

Marci is a great problem solver. She has all the best solutions to all my worst problems. Sometimes I think that she could have an answer to EVERY question I could possiably ask her. My cousin is smart in many ways. Whenever I'm upset, I can call Marci and she can cheer me up. NO MATTER WHAT! She can even tell me why I'm upset even though I haven't said more than two words to her. Marci is very funny, and she keeps my laughing constantly. It seems like whenever we're together we can never stop laughing and smiling.

Well, that's my cousin. She inspires me and pushes me to do my best. She's my best friend and a great role model to me. Marci is a motherly figure. Not just to me, but to her little sister, as well. I love her and am very, very grateful that I have a person like her in my life.
